Restylane Filling

Restylane is non-animal sourced, stabilized, hyaluronic acid (NASHA). When inserted into the dermis, it combines with the body’s own hyaluronic acid to generate volume for the treatment of lips, lines, wrinkles and facial folds.

The most frequently performed procedure for filling facial wrinkles and frown lines is Restylane treatment.

It works quickly, easily and with immediate, visible results. Manufactured in the form of a crystal-clear gel, Restylane can be placed superficially into your skin, blending with your own skin colour.

As we grow older, the underlying collagen and elastin fibres begin to break down and wear out. While this break down is part of the natural ageing process, it can also result from excessive frowning, smoking, smiling and other facial expressions.

Restylane is injected into the skin and provides volume where the concentration of the body's own hyaluronic acid has decreased.. The results are immediate and leave no scars or other marks on the face.

Like Botox treatment resytlane treatment is referred to as a "lunch time" procedure. It usually takes less than 20 minutes of your time.

The restylane is injected through a tiny needle under your skin, beneath the wrinkle into your own collagen. Several injections may be required depending on the depth and length of the wrinkles.

In contrast to other biodegradable implants, Restylane is not extracted from animals. This reduces the risk of allergic reaction and avoids the transmission of animal diseases. There may be a slight swelling in the treatment area that takes a few hours to go away. There may also appear some purple spots that can be easily covered by make-up. Allergic reactions are rare and they may appear in the form of reddishness, itching or hardness. the Restylane is therefore safe to use and requires no pre-testing. You can immediately go back to your normal activities following Restylane injections. Depending on the treatment zone, the results will prevail for a term of three to six months.

The treatments are non surgical thereby avoids a face-lift. The restylane has a natural feel and there is no need to harvest tissue from another site on your body. Restylane treatment can also be used in conjunction with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels or, even, facial surgery.
